Accenture and AWS Partner to accelerate AI-driven public service transformation

Accenture and AWS

Accenture has expanded its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help public sector organisations modernise services and boost efficiency through cloud and artificial intelligence technologies.

The strengthened partnership, delivered through the Accenture AWS Business Group, aims to equip government, health and defence organisations with AI-powered tools to cut costs, improve service delivery and enhance decision-making.

Running on AWS’s secure infrastructure, the new solutions will focus on three key areas: workforce transformation, defence readiness and modernisation of social and health services.

Accenture said the approach will help public bodies “reinvent” how they operate, as AI and automation begin to reshape administrative processes and citizen engagement. Research from the company shows that 87% of executives believe AI agents are ushering in a new era of process transformation.

For public service teams, the collaboration will deliver AI and cloud solutions to streamline workflows, accelerate data sharing and improve case management. Accenture and AWS say the goal is to enable faster benefit determinations, predictive analytics for frontline services and modernised digital infrastructure, all while maintaining robust security and compliance standards.

Jennifer Jackson, AWS Business Group lead at Accenture, said: “Public sector organisations are ready to reinvent using AI to operate more efficiently and better serve citizens. These expanded solutions will help modernise operations while building trust and ensuring high standards of security and compliance.”

Rishi Bhaskar, director of worldwide public sector partnerships at AWS, added: “Citizens today expect the same seamless digital experiences from government services that they enjoy from commercial platforms. Through this collaboration with Accenture, we’re helping public service organisations deliver those experiences while operating more efficiently.”
