The Data Panel at Government Transformation Summit brings together some of the leading figures in government data operations to discuss four key themes: ethical data sharing, data culture, interoperability and optimisation.
This unique panel will feature three high profile speakers: Katherine Williamson, Chief Data Officer at the Department for Transport; Lucy Vickers, Chief Data Officer at the Department for Health and Social Care and Martin Waudby, Chief Data Officer at the London Borough of Camden.
Topic one is enabling responsible data sharing. The panellists will discuss how to promote ethical data sharing between public bodies, supporting greater efficiency and cross-departmental insights whilst ensuring data exchange is aligned with secure data sharing policy.
Next up, the discussion will turn to fostering a strong data culture, by building an environment where data is viewed as a strategic asset, encouraging data literacy to drive evidence-based decision making across government sectors.
The third focal point of the conversation will be improving data interoperability by developing common standards and platforms which allow seamless data sharing across departments, jurisdictions and service areas.
Finally, the panellists will consider driving data optimisation and use, how to extract actionable insights from data by leveraging analytics and AI automation to improve resource allocation and therefore policy outcomes.
💡 Participate in this panel discussion and many others at the Government Transformation Summit (25 June, Church House Westminster). Registration is free for civil servants and local government executives.
