At Pace, with Confidence: Delivering Government AI with Trusted Data Foundations

Watch the video below to see our workshops in action

Thursday 25 June | 1:30pm - 4:15pm

Church House, Westminster

How can government teams move from idea stage to a safe, working AI service in weeks while maintaining trust and accountability?

Recent NAO guidance (May 2026) urged government to move AI use "beyond optional experimentation to more deliberate, well-managed adoption".

This is why Government Digital Service, DSIT and Snowflake are hosting a workshop for central government leaders responsible for delivering AI to answer these questions: how do you build data pipelines you can trust and govern, get secure by design access right, create space to iterate quickly, and keep humans meaningfully in the loop?

Attendees will leave with:

  • Rapid Delivery Playbook - A practical framework for moving from AI idea to safe, working service in weeks
  • Blocker Diagnostic - A map of the data infrastructure, procurement, and assurance barriers that slow AI delivery - and how to remove them
  • Safe-by-Default Architecture - Clarity on the data platform design decisions that allow rapid iteration without accumulating governance debt
  • Cross-Government Momentum - Perspectives across government on challenges and best practices for AI delivery

Facilitators include:

- Matthew Lyon, Chief Analyst & Deputy Director of Data Science, Government Digital Service

- Nayyab Naqvi, Head of Technology for AI Adoption in the UK Public Sector, Department for Science, Innovation & Technology

- Pollyanna Jones, EMEA Public Sector Strategy Lead, Snowflake

- Andrew Newland, Central Government Account Executive, Snowflake

- Michelle Unterbrink, Manager, Solution Engineering UK&I, Snowflake
